It’s football season at last and the big AL vs. TJ game is almost here!

If you haven’t been to a game in a while, or that face paint has never quite worn off, it’s time to head out to the Second Annual AL-TJ Tailgate Party!

Last year more than 175 alumni gathered for the first tailgate party sponsored by the CB Schools Alumni Association (CBSAA). Former rivals enjoyed a classic “tailgate supper” of hotdogs and chips while reliving memories of games gone by. Many alumni came in the colors of their alma mater. Current TJ and AL students brought school shirts and other spirit items to sell.

So if you’ve missed a class reunion and would like to reconnect with old friends, or just really love a good game (and hot dogs), now is the time!

This year’s tailgate starts September 30th at 5:30 P.M. Just look for the large tent in the parking lot of Wilson Jr. High next to CB Stadium. The party will be moved inside the school in case of bad weather. $5 gets you in the door. Food and drink will be provided by the CBSAA (but it’s bring your own memories).

You don’t have to be a member to stop in, so be sure to tell all of your friends and RSVP. Dust off your old yearbook, grab a camera and bring your appetite -- we’ll see you there!
