School District & Community News TJ Band Plans London Appearance. The TJ band has been invited to perform in the 2006 New Year’s Day Parade in London. No other Iowa high school band has ever appeared in this event. The TJBOP organization is currently seeking donations. | T.J. Spirit of Achievement Award The Thomas Jefferson High School “Spirit of Achievement Awards” are presented annually to alumni, or past Thomas Jefferson educators, who have demonstrated outstanding success in their chosen fields. These individuals must have exemplified character in their community or nation, career, and/or philanthropic activities. Spirit of Achievement honorees are selected annually by a committee of alumni and are inducted into the Thomas Jefferson Hall of Fame. CLICK HERE for a PDF version of the nomination form. The award ceremony will be held Monday, March 13, 2006. |

| Abraham Lincoln Hall of Fame Award The Abraham Lincoln Hall of Fame Award is presented to individuals for outstanding achievement following graduation from Abraham Lincoln High School, with emphasis upon service, accomplishments and dedication to education, youth and community. Areas of consideration include schooling and/or work experience after graduation, awards and honors, professional contributions, community activities and a positive impact on society and our world. The selection process begins in September each year and culminates in the choices being made in December, with the induction ceremony in March at the annual National Honor Society Banquet. |

| Class Reunions For those of you who are anticipating an upcoming reunion, information is posted here on the C.B. Schools Alumni Schools Alumni Web site. If you know of a reunion in the planning stages that is not included, please be sure to register the information so that it can be posted on the alumni web site for your classmates to find. A database of Council Bluffs school district’s graduates is being developed for reunion committees to contact us for mailing labels and updated information. The office number is 712-322-8890. Please be assured the information provided is only for use by reunion committees and is not sold or shared with the public in any way. If you are planning a reunion, call us at 712-322-8890 to see how we can help your class stay connected. The database is still growing and there are several classes that information is still needed in order to create the class lists. The alumni database does not yet include the following class lists: Thomas Jefferson: 1978, 1980, 1983, 1984, 1985, 1987, 1988, 1989, 1992, 1993, 1994, 1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, and 2000 through 2004.
