Memorials & Scholarships One way to honor teachers and friends is through the support of scholarships. Teachers you may remember and wish to honor through their memorial scholarships include: Donald C. Scheibeler, Jim Amundsen, and Richard Schoeppner. In addition, there is a scholarship for A.L. seniors who are members of the National Honor Society that is sponsored by the Hall of Fame members. | Sponsor Opportunities Are you interested in being a sponsor of the Council Bluffs Schools Alumni Association? We are looking for businesses or individuals who would like to help us keep membership in our Association free. Several levels of sponsorship are now being offered. For $500, sponsors would be listed as a sponsor on the alumni web page and in two newsletters for a period of one year. For $300, you could be listed as a sponsor for one year on either the newsletters or the web page. We are also looking for sponsors for special events throughout the year, such as the tailgate. Also, packets are being created for reunion organizers. Sponsors will also be featured as part of these materials, and if appropriate, will be listed as a preferred contact for reunion activities. Please join the committee guiding the Council Bluffs Schools Alumni Association. Monthly meetings are held on the fourth Thursday of each month from 5:30 to 6:30 at the Council Bluffs School District’s Educational Service Center, 12 Scott Street. | Bayliss Park Fundraising Drive When the Bayliss Park fountain was declared too unsafe to operate last summer, a group of community volunteers embarked on a journey to replace the fountain and update the park to include artwork, an interactive children’s water play area and performance stage. Grants and donations in the amount of $4.3 million have been secured to complete the $4.8 million project. Donations are now being accepted, with amounts of $1,000 or more being eligible for permanent recognition in the Park. For more information visit www.Baylisspark.org. |

The Council Bluffs Schools Alumni Association is being guided by a volunteer committee made up of graduates from Thomas Jefferson, Abraham Lincoln and Kanesville High Schools, and exists to preserve and promote the name, spirit, and history of the Council Bluffs schools. The Alumni Association will be involved in community activities, support of our schools and social contacts with all alumni, teachers, administrative personnel, and friends of the district. |
